Boots

Hey guys, first time poster. For years I have had a difficult time finding boots that I can wear all day without killing my feet. My main problems are blisters on the back of my heels, and the outsides of my ankles. I have decided to stop being cheap and get a good pair. Any suggestions?

My favorites, by far, are Schnees Pac boots. Made in Bozeman Montana. Check them out.

One way to remedy blisters is to put on a pair of lightweight nylon socks before you put on your regular socks. It keeps the friction from rubbing blisters on your feet.

Where are you going to be wearing them and in what kind of conditions?

I split my hunting time between South Texas, North Texas, and East Texas. That's the difficult part. 100% waterproofand walking comfort areessential for East Texas, and my North Texas hunts require some moderate insulation.

I had a great pair of gortex boots from Cabela's about ten years ago, but of course, I can't find them now.

Thanks for the tip about the socks.

You might also want to consider some kind of snake boot since your hunting in snake country!! Cabela's has a wide selection of snake boots.

Definitely get to Cabelas or BassProShops if want the boots now! Or if you know your size you could go to sportsmansguide and check their selections. They have Danner, Irish Setter, etc there for a heck of alot cheaper than in stores. Just my 2 cents...:)

I just bought the Danner Sharptail Snake Boots and they're awsome. Very light, waterproof, I wore them all day Monday trekking through the woods, and they felt great.

My first choice would be Danner followed by Lacrosse. I would suggest trying several different pairs on to see which one feels the best.

lacroose are the best boots out there and if you are going to buy them get'm from sportsmans warehouse or sportsmans guide much cheaper than the bad prices at cabelas.
