Bushnell scopes vs. the competition

Just wondering what you guys think of Bushnells scopes.I know most people I know have Leupolditis and think anything less is junk. Personally I like Nikon pretty good but I have a Bushnell Sportsman 1.5-4.5x32 on my T/C .50 cal and my best friend has one of the cheapo 12 powers on his 17hmr and loves it to death. I love the heck out of mine on my ML. I need to start thinking on a scope for the new 308MEXLR Marlin whenI get mine.Been thinkin Nikon Monarch but I'm so happy with my Bushnell I was thinkin of getting another. I am tryin to stay around a $300-350 and I just dont understand why people act like they are inferior. I am looking at a 3200 Elite with rainguard: 4-12AOx40mm. Cabelas lists for $310 but I can probably beat that. Anyone use this scope?

The upper end Bushnell's are very decent scopes... especially for the price. You can get a new 4200 in 3-9 X 40 for under $300.00. I personally don't see the need for anything over 9X for most hunting applications, nor do I prefer A.O.'s on hunting scopes (with the possible exception of yotes or PD's). The 3200's are o.k., but I'd go for a 4200.

Bushnell makes some good optics. Dollar for dollar hard to beat the Nikon Monarch. I am NOT a fan of any of the variables. That feature does three things that are bad 1. They aren't as bright or clear as their fixed counterparts, to make them that way see #3. #2. They add weight. #3. They add cost.

Bushnell makes very good scopes for the $. I have an elite 3200 4x12 on my .300 win mag and it has worked very well with not adverse issues at all. I think that I got mine for around $270 about two years ago. For what it is worth, I have a Bushnell banner 1.5x4.5 on my Marlin 30-30 as well and it has worked very well as well. I would venture to say that most people that buy and use elite series Bushnells end up liking them very much.

I have the same Bushnell 1.5x4.5x32 on my CVA ML. It works well.

The Elite 4200's are pretty nice. Personally, I would buy a Monarch from SWFA or Midway USA. The 3x9x40's are on sale for around $220-230. That's the best price I've seen on these, even cheaper than eBay.
I have 4 Monarchs and will probably buy one more at that price. My buddy just sold a Vari-X III and replaced it with a Monarch. I've made a believer out of him.

Go to a store around sunset and try them look through them outside. Most stores will do this for you.

Do a side by side comparision of the Elite and Monarch.

While your at it compare the Nikon Monarch 4 or 6X to the varaibles cranked to about half way out. And see which is sharper and brighter.

Good optics but I will NEVER buy one again. Reason being customer service. There warranty.....or should I say .....how they handle warantees suck. For the price of repairing something I sent in for repair, they wanted more than I paid for the item when it was new.

I had a 3200 on a .300 Weatherby that lasted about 40 rounds and the crosshairs broke...[:'(]

You must have gotten a bad one from the batch. I have put a couplehundred rounds through my .300 win mag with a 3200 on top and it is still doing great.
