which rifle scope should i buy?
I have a remington .270 that came with a bushnell scope, but i can barely see a deer at 200 yards with it. I need to get a new one, but I'm not sure what kind. I was thinking of either a redfield or nikon, and I was wondering if anybody had one of these, and how well they worked. I might also consider a leupold. I dont want to spend more that $300 or $350 if I can help it. Any help about the best scope for the price would be greatly appreciated.

RE: which rifle scope should i buy?
I would definitely look into Nikons if I were you. I have a Nikon Monarch scope on my rifle and absolutely love it. Nikon's are very bright, often giving me more shooting light than my dad has with his Leupold. I wouldn't knock Leupolds though, they're tough as nails! I haven't had any experience with a Redfield so I can't help you there. Hope this helps!

I've got two Leupold's. 3 X 9 and a 4 X 12 AO. Great scopes. If you live near a decent hunting type store, pay them a visit and look at the brands that fit your budget. Spend as much as you can, you'll never regret it.

Remember that your rifle is only as good as the optics you put on top of it. I know people who spend more on their rifle scopes than they do the rifle itself. A good Leupold or Nikon will serve you well!

you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a good scope.....I own a model 70 in every caliber it was made in except .358 and .458 and a tasco or bushnell sits on every one and I've never been disappointed by sights!!!
