RE: BASS PRO IS A RIP OFF
I go to BPS now that it's open in Macon, GA but I still like Academy Sports and sometimes find better prices there. As to the cost of used guns, I feel that places like BPS are going to be higher on these items due to the fact that more of their customers are going to be less informed concering used gun prices. I've never tried to buy a used gun there but if you can show them the price is high they may come down. Another problem may be that the buyers and sellers may not be knowledgeable of market prices. As the old song says "IT PAYS TO SHOP AROUND". I remember the first BPS catalog. I wonder how much ole' JM is worth today.

RE: BASS PRO IS A RIP OFF
I have found that bass pro is more expensive than others on most items in there store. I usually go to bass pro and see the item in person and play with it, and then go order it off of Cabela's, Ebay or somewhere off the net. I have also found that Academy Sporting Goods has cheaper prices than bass pro.

RE: BASS PRO IS A RIP OFF
I had the same problem for years. Why I started Rocky Mountain Archery. I'm soon launching Rocky Mountain Angler. I'm just trying to build a couple businesses where we can under cut the margins of the BIG box stores and make some money. Thereare only really four major players in this 40B market niche. They know the space is limited and can inflate their prices to make tons of money. Just my 2 cents.
