depends abunch on what you want. If you need some small strap on your head LED and go, energizer has some nice little pivoting models at walmart with red light as well. i use mine yote hunting alot moving too and from stands in low/no light. If you need something bigger and brighter only thing you need to know is NiteLite. They make some of the nicest lights for the money I have ever had the pleasure to use, lots of accessories and such to use. You can get some of the tracker packages for under $100. Check ebay or you can order a catalog from them. Or if you have friends who coon hunt they might have a catalog.

If you need a lot of light those new 3 Watt LED models are worth a look. I have head lamp that has five regular LED and my single 3 Watt flashlight is much brighter. Sportsman's Warehouse has a model that is a Surefire clone and a clip for the brim of your cap, but at a much reduced price.

I have a Petzl as well and it has worked very well so far. It is the kind that has 3 LEDS and a main whitelight beam as well. I think that I paid around $60-65 for it.

You might want to consider the Gerber Meridian. I have two of them. You have red or green on one side and white LED in the middle so you can choose your light for the situation your in. Throws a nice light too. Not all blotchy....out to several hundred feet. Also I's recommend checking out http://flashlightreviews.com for any of your flashlight needs. I stumbled onto this site several years ago and found it to be extremely helpful.

Bought one the other day for less than 5 bucks. They can be found in most stores. No reason what so ever to pay more than 15 bucks for one. I don't use them for anything more than getting me in and out in the dark. I use a flash light for anything else. My 13 dollar one has never broken, my big spender brother is on his 3rd from cabela's.
