RE: buckshot stands
huntforlife, Hey I don't come in here much but I got one last year its the big shot tree stand and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. If I had a complaint it would be the weight and that is it and its not bad at all. I am not really wimpy so doesn't both me. I am very comfortable carrying it a long way. But with this stand I feel very safe and my wife is happy about it and after seeing the video she is even more happy with me having it because of how safe it is. Great stand and I highely recommend it.

RE: buckshot stands
I own 2 bigshot climbers. Being a big (250#) hunter I did considerble research before deciding which climber I would trust. Hunting in Florida some on our trees (like cypress) can be pretty slippery. The bigshot came highly recommended by a number of guys who hunt consistently and successfully from climbers. I have not been dissapointed, and have never felt unsafe (regardless of tree size or type). I don't think you will be dissapointed if you choose the bigshot.

RE: buckshot stands
I've had a bigshot for 8 years now. It's very comfortable, and quiet. It also is very safe. It would be really hard to fall out of it. Like Supermag said, it's heavier than other stands but the comfort more than makes up for the extra weight. I'm 6'3" and 165 pounds but have no problems carrying it over a mile. Get one. You won't be dissapointed.

RE: buckshot stands
I am also looking at the Big Shot. My cousin has one and I love it. If you tried it I'm sure you'd like it too.

RE: buckshot stands
Huntforlife,
I've had a Bigshot for about 3 or 4 years now. It's been great. Super quiet, quick setup. You won't notice the weight, with the padded backpack straps and sternum strap. Order the Silent Stalker staps to go with it. They are much better than the ones that come with it. Trebark Become one with nature...then grill it. |
RE: buckshot stands
The Big shots are top notch quality. A little on the heavy side for an alumunum climber. Stay away from the new Center shot. They had a recall.
