Avalanche,

I agree with you about the how the batteries are held in place by the metal battery plate. A little awkward to install and remove batteries from the unit, although while testing the unit in the backyard, I was very impressed with the overall quality. After Iplace it in the woods on Friday, the real test begins.......:D

I just bought a Cuddeback no flash. I think the new case design sucks. The battery hlder is a piece of junk and I don't like the fact that you have to choose either scrw it to the tree OR attach it with a cable (that is no longer supplied with teh camera BTW). The older case was a much better design. I just hope it takes good pictures like the older model 3MP does. I have been reading of problems with the '06 models though.

For $150 or less your options are going to be limited. If you can squeeze out $200 your choices open up a good bit. The 2 most popular seem to be the Moultrie 200 and the new Stealth WD2 model.

This is a copy of the review I wrote in the Bowhunting Forum........

Well, I recently got a Cuddeback No Flash and I agree with most that has been said. I think the battery design is horrible, programing the camera could be a lot easier, and attaching toa tree works, but does not seem to be the bestdesign....... But the picture quality is pretty good. The real reason I like the no flash is because I do not want anyone see a flash in the woods at night and go looking for the camera. Whether is spooks thedeer is seconday..... Below is the couple of pictures I got the first night the camera was in the woods.

Second:

No bucks yet, but I got some time.........;)

Just got a Moultrie GameSpy 200. After 3 days, had quite a few good quality pics. All does and a fawn. Hope Mr. Buck comes by soon. Am really pleased so far. So far, only negatives have been the instructions(one double-sided page, folded up), and the puny bungee type straps that came with it were really thin, and weren't long enough to go around the tree I attached it to. Tied it to a tree with thin rope, hope it doesn't walk off. I will post a few pics to show pic quality if I can figure it out.

St.Barnard,

You must use a picture hosting site and upload your pictures there first. Then you can link them to your post.
