Sleeping Indian Designs-worth it?
Hey Guys! I want some cold weather wool, I hunt a fair bit in cold weather. I was wondering, is Sleeping Indian Designs wool worth the extra cost? I plan on getting the Highline Shirt and Timberline Pants. Any experience with this product, I would appreciate any help.
Thanks, Matt |
RE: Sleeping Indian Designs-worth it?
I personally feel that they are way overpriced for what you get. The jackets that I saw were basically 22 or 24oz. wool, with a supplex lining placed between a 200 weight layer of polartec. Think about it, you can make your jacket that is much more versatile. For less money, you can get a 200 or 300 weight Polartec jacket (with or without hood), a windshirt, and a 24 filson cruiser, or 30 oz LLbean cruiser, or a Cabelas outfitters wool jacket with a camo pattern and hood. All three, Filson, LLbean, and Cabelas have camo wool parkas (if you really need the camo part).
You might want to consider this option. IMO it'll be less money and more versatile. And don't forget Weatherby, Woolrich, and to a lesser extent Columbia. They also have camo wool. |
