i put a leo vx-III 4.5-14x40 on my 300 wsm last year and absolutely love it. i just bought an new vx-III 6.5-20x40 for my 22-250 too. cant wait to get that in. i think that the 50 mm tube is somewhat needless. there is only so much light the eye can take in and it also makes the mount higher from the gun

I have thevxiii 6.5x20x40efron my 22-250 and am very dissappointed in how greatly the eye relief varies as the magnification is adjusted.I never bother using it at less than 12x because it is so annoying.
