Sims Limbsaver

Anyone have a Sims Limb Saver recoil pad on their rifle or shotgun?

Several years ago I put one on my daughter's rifle. she has a Ruger M77 Compact in .243. She only weighed 75lbs. then. She said the gun kicked too much. To tell you the truth, I thought it had some rather harsh recoil myself. I installed the Limbsaver and it made a world of difference.

I just thought I'd let you guys know, just incase you were looking for a way to reduce recoil for your kid or yourself.

I put one on my 30-30 for my daughter. It made a big difference for her. also put it on my 270. I'll shoot 25-30 shots at each range session and it makes it much more comfortable for me
I highly recommend it for anyone who is recoil sensitive or just shoots often at the range

Do they just screw in to the butt of your rifle or shotgun?

yes, they just screw in .
Make sure you get the right one that fits your rifle. there is a listing on the limbsaver website or on the back of the box the recoil pad comes in.
There is also a slip on if you want to go that route. I have both a fitted and slip on
