RE: Snowshoes

andy-o -i live in new jersey but play in pennsylvania new york and maine several weeks every year. the montana snowshoes are a different breed of shoe. they are lighter than any other shoe ive seen or used. my old set were bear paw types and worked great but the montanas are another level to me. im a big guy around 260 and they work great . the other cool thing is that they are concave in design so as you walk they actually have a upward spring action that gives you extra pep in every step. i talked the the company on the phone just to tell them they had a great product and they told me they would fix them if i have any problems for life. if your going to use them in a cross country situation with alot of fresh deep powder you may need a longer shoe but if your hunting in tight wooded areas they rock

RE: Snowshoes

Hey Liquid,
I have thought about getting a pair of those. My only concern is :how do they do when climbing up mountains? My yukon charlies have a real good set of crampons on them and I can climb almost staright up with no hassle.I really like the idea of the extra "springy"step.
Thanks All
Nathan
