GPS Units
 
Im looking for a good GPS for hunting. Anyone have experience?

I looked at the eXplorist 500 by Magellon. Looks coool. I need some advice please :).

i have the garmin etrex legend. it is a nice unit but is nearly worthless without the topo software you have to give a extra $100 for. whatever you buy make sure it has memory so you can upload maps into it. most of the base maps that come built in stink.

I also have the Garmin Etrex Legend. It works well, but is sometimes a little slow on picking up the satellites and pinpointing your location. I didn't buy the topo software because I primarily just use it for marking stands and routes through the woods to get into the stands. Granted, there really isn't a whole lot of topography to mark down here in eastern VA (it's flat, everywhere). I've had it for 2 years and no real complaints.
