Nikon - Buckmaster 3-9x40 Vs. Prostaff 3-9x40
What's the difference ? Which do you prefer ? I'm asking because I know nothing about scopes. But I know Nikon is a name to trust.

I believ both are Chinese made, which is not necessarily a bad thing as it means a less expensicve scope. The buck master is reputed to have better coatings and is brighter. you can probably expect better resolution with the buckmaster. The prostaff is Nikon's cheapest. It is probably made by Barska or some other chinese manufacturer.
I would go with the Buckmaster But I would actually get a sightron okcmco |
RE: Nikon - Buckmaster 3-9x40 Vs. Prostaff 3-9x40
I just read FAQs from some Nikon website, the difference are: buckmaster allows 92% light get through, prostaff allows 90% and buckmaster has a little larger field of view compared with prostaff. I go with prostaff (50 bucks cheaper)

I would go with the Buckmaster. They are a very high quality scope for the price.

The one buckmaster I have was made in the phillipines. I believe that the prostaff are made in there own factory in thailand.
