Garmin Etrex Venture mapping software?

I have a Garmin Etrex Venture and was looking for some software to use with it. I remember in the past seeing some sort of software you could use on your pc to import and export waypoints and such. Here is what I'm wanting to do. I've been marking waypoints and trails on my gps and I want to export them to my computer on a map so I can easily check the topo and stuff. Then I can plan my strategies and get the best advantage that's possiable. Anyone recommendor know of any?

For waypoints and track data most any commercial software will work, to be able to download topo data you'll need the Garmin Mapsource.

I have Delorme Topo 5.0 and I got it to track with it but extracting waypoints and such, I don't think it can do.

I have a Garmin eTrex Legend and have read all over the Garmin website, that for 100% capatibility (upload/download, import/export, etc...) you have to buy Garmin's MapSource CD's. Once I get more into my GPS, I might spring for the USA Topo CD and load in Virginia into the GPS.
