Which ATV???

I'm considering buying my first ATV. Problem is I don't know anything about them. It's gonna be used primarily for hunting. I don't think I need anything bigger than a 400.
Any suggestions ???

I have a 2003 Honda Rancher ES and have not had a bit of trouble with it.If you want to spend time using it instead of working on it, get a honda.

I have a Yamaha Kodiak 400 and have had zero problems with it. You can't go wrong with a Yamaha or Honda.

I have a yamaha big bear 400. It cost about $1000.00 les than a honda rancher 350 and you have the option of turning your 4 x 4 on and off by the push of a button. The honda rancher is full time 4 x 4. It hauls A$$ too!

I think you cant really go wrong with any of the Japanese ones, Suz, Kawi, Yammy, Honda. I have experence with all three. The Polaris seem popular but often times experence belt slip. Hondas are good machines but over priced compared the others. I have a Suzuki 500 Quadmaster, I think its a 2000 or 01, has over 1,300 hard miles on it, "0" problems. Started out with a King Quad, 300 with manual shift, had plenty of low end torque but I wanted to power up hills etc.... which was not easy with only 300 cc's. It was way more then enough to take you and any gear you have wherever you go. I have not read specs since I bought mine but can not imagine things changed that much 4 or 5 years. Would love a 700 but can not justify the a new machine ;-) Yet!
