Which type of scent do you prefer, cover scents or scent eliminators?

Cover sent do just as they say, covers your sent. On the other hand sent eliminators can literaly eliminate your sent.

Your question was which one would I/we prefer?

Two factors here, for me. Cover sents can at time assist in attracting deer, depending on the sent. But, your sent could still get through.

Eliminator, rids you of your smell completely when used correctly!

sorry guys but i disagree.....it is impossible to totally eliminate human scent. i'll take a good cover scent to and from the stand any day of the week...once you're in your stand if you're not playing the wind to your advantage you're not going to fool a deer's nose, no matter how much you paid for that carbon suit or how much scent eliminater you've sprayed. for granted i wouldn't go into the woods smelling like a dumpster, shower w/no scent soap, wear clean clothes, use a cover scent to your stand, and don't touch anything to and from your stand w/your bear skin is what i would recommend.

I would have to disagree with nodose. I use a scent lok carbon suit and will not hunt without it. During this years archery season I arrowed an 8 point standing 15 yards directly behind and downwind of me. I hunt in the NorthWestern Panhandle and during archery season it is not uncommon to have days in the mid to upper 80's with very high humidity. Since using the suit I have never been winded. Its nice not to have to worry about the wind. Try one. You will never go back.
