RE: NIKON Laser-440 Rangefinder
The 440 has 2X more magnification - which is harder to hold still at longer ranges. The 600 has better eye-relief -- For bowhunting ranges the 440 will do fine, but if you are going to use it for rifle - go with the 660. I have the 600, my best bud has the 440.

I live out west and own the 440. Keep in mind that Nikon model numbers represent "animal size" reflective targets vs companies like Bushnell uses those model numbers for "buildings". A Bushnell 800 is more like a Nikon 500, etc. The 440 works great IMO and i'm sure the 600 is great too.

I have one of the older 'Buckmaster' Nikon 800's and have used it for years. IMHO, it's one of the best you can buy. There's alot of arguments on this forum for other brands, but my Nikon has worked well for years now.

A buddy of mine bought the 440 a month or so ago and has since subsequently returned it. He complained of problems with the unit draining batteries extremely quickly. Have any you folks had problems like this with yours?

RE: NIKON Laser-440 Rangefinder
Which is better - Nikon Laser 440 or Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout? I can't make up my mind. Some one told me the Nikon's readings are in red not like the Bushnell with black readings. Is this true?
Hope someone can help.
