Bushnell VGA Digital cam

Hey everyone, I just got some pictures back from my Bushnell digi-cam. I thought I would share a few. Also, I was wondering if anyone had experience with this type of bushnell. The only real problem I have with it is that like 7 of the 8 night pictures are all black. Its kind og a bummer, since most of the bigger deer pictures I usually got were at night. Also, the reason I got this camera was because it is my first digital trail cam, and I was going for the cheapest, but paid like $20-$30 more for this one over another because it said the flash range was further. Thanks for any help.

PS. I really like the video mode, got some good videos.

I would guess that something is triggering your camera that is out of the flash range.

That was my original thought, and I was fine with that, I have had that happen before. The thing I noticed that told me something wasn't right was the fact that there were no weeds, which are close to the camera, in those 7 of 8 all black pictures, I just cant figure it out, I will first post the one night picture that somewhat worked, and then I will post one of the 7(which are all identical), to explain. Either way, thanks a bunch for your reply.

I went back and looked at the pictures that the Bushnell had taken that I tested and I had some of those same pictures, just not as many. When I try to enhance those pictures to see if there is anything there it doesn't help a bit. This is definitely a problem.

You may want to put your camera in a dark room and set the delay time low and keep walking in front of the camera to see what it does. Does the flash work each time? Is it taking pictures when it has passed the required delay? Do this a dozen times download your pictures and take a look at them. Maybe you'll learn something or maybe you won't but you are not alone. It appears that this is a problem with Bushnell cameras.

The electronics on mine quit working and I returned it.

Thanks a bunch, I will more than likely do what are you saying. I was going to move the camera anyways, so during the down time, I might just bring it home for a night. I have been to the bushnell site before, but I havent looked recently. I may just do the same, and return it. Thanks for your help tho.

Hey VOGT 51,

It looks like the Bushnell allows the owner to put their name on the pics.

Is that correct, or is that just you editing the pictures prior to posting?

Thanks.

yes, you are allowed to put your name in the camera on the setup mode, and it stamps it to the pictures....i think im gonna keep this one until next summer, and then try to sell my 35mm stealth cam, and the bushnell digital and buy the digital stealth cam 2.1 megapixels from a local Big R store that sells them for 170. I dont think the motion detector is as good on the bushnell as the stealthcams.

hey guys, i forgot to post, but since that first time with the camera at night, the pictures have been fine....im pretty sure it was the batteries. i was unaware that the light in the front and middle was a low battery light, so the whole last like 2 weeks i had a low battery....my fault, since then the camera has been working pretty good.
