Digital Trail Cams
 

I am thinking about buying a digital trail cam. I am looking to spend around $275 or less. Could you reccommend some that have long battery life in the cold, good picture quality, and good durability? I had in mind either a stealth cam digital, or a leaf river digital. What do you think about the Stealth cam digital?

I have heard nothing but good about the leaf river. I would go with that one over the stealth cam. Especially once the infared camera is out.

From what I have seen $275 does not go along with long battery life, good picture quality and durability. Your going to get what you pay for.

BassPro has the Cuddeback on sale for 299.00 thats a hundered dollars off their reg price, I get almost 1500 pictures out of 4 D-cell batteries and the quality is very good. You will be pleased with a Cuddeback.

I have experience with several differenet digital trail cams and IMO the Leaf River is THE best deal out there! It is a far superior trail cam to the 2 Cuddebacks I have owned for much less. It has THE best lay-out and controls and is the easiest to set-up and operate. It also hasTHE best image quality you'll find on ANY trail cam up to the $700 price range.

Strange...My Leaf River will sometimes have pics with a blue tint. Some do, Some don't. I agree that they are the easiest camera to operate. On the Flash comparison test I wonder if whoever did the test set the Cuddeback to the " Long range " option or had it on the " Standard Flash " option?

The cuddeback was set to the long range flash setting..

Humm, I live and learn, I've had a Cuddeback going on 2 years now and did'nt know it had a long range flash setting.
