Are you look at conventional or digital? I have the basic Stealth model and have been pretty well satisfied with its performance.

I have the Cuddeback and absolutely enjoy it to no end, if you plan on taking many pictures you better go with a digital, I can take close to 1500 pictures on 1 set of D-cell batteries, I have a 35mm camera also and have notused it in a long time. I get more and better pictures with my Cuddeback, Also with a digital you can set it to where you can take several pictures, with my 35 mm I set it on 10 minute intervals to save film and I was missing alot of good pictures within that 10 minutes, and the best thing is there is no waiting to see your pics, just stick the flash card in your computer and you have them, I burn all mine on to a CD and print the very best ones. My Cuddeback has paid for itself over and over again compared to a 35 mm just in film, battery and developing cost, which will run close to 10 dollars for a 24 exposure roll of film.I think the Cuddeback or Leafriver cameras are the best value out there.

I have owned a few different digitals including 2 Cuddebacks, but the Leaf Rivers I own are my all-time favorite trail cams! They take an excellent quality digital image and have the best controls and easiest set-up. Great units and I suggest them highly.

I've tried Nature Qwest(EagleEye), Cuddeback, Leaf River, Bushnell and Penn's Woods. I prefer the Nature Qwest and Penn's Woods cameras over the other three by a pretty wide margin. I agree that digital is the way to go. It will pay for itself.

Warning ----these are very addictive, I already looking at buying another one!
If you are talking about deer cams in general then I would wholeheartedly agree with you. I eagerly await the end of the week so I can run out and see what I have on the cam. :)
