Free Male DD to a Good Home

I am posting this for an individual who purchased Titan from me in 2001. He is currently 7 years old and will be 8 in July. Titan weighs approximately 80 lbs and is an outdoor dog only. He lives in Lincoln, NE so spends most of his time in a fenced-in yard, unless he is taken to the farm to run. Titan gets out of the yard quite a bit during hunting season.

Titan's owner has since had two children now 5 and 2. Titan was initially not brought up around young kids. There have been several situations over the last year or so where the kids have been around Titan in the yard and with his eagerness to play he jumps on the kids. Titan's owner involvement with his kids has not allowed him to spend much time with Titan. He does very well around older people and really enjoys attention.

Titan has some very good hunting abilities. Since 2001 he has been pheasant hunting nearly every weekend of the season (3 months long) and he's taken numerous trips to South Dakota to hunt birds. He ranges very close and I force broke him to retrieve so he's an excellent retriever. He loves the water and does retrieve ducks and geese. His nose is above average - he does very well pointing pheasants, but not quite as well with single quail.

In summary, Titan's owner is looking for a good hunting home for Titan as he is not able to spend the amount of time with him that he deserves. He would make someone a great companion and hunting dog.

I appreciate any help you can lend finding him a good home. If you have any questions or need any additional information please contact me at [email protected]. Thanks.
