Pro's - Provides additional flotation, insulation and protection.

Con's - Can get hung up in weeds and slow the dog down depending on where you hunt.

You decide if it makes sense for you.

Helps prevent hypothermia!!! Protects belly and chest if field hunting from corn stalks, sticks, and such. Most come with floatation foam panels inserted so the dog doesnt have to work as hard to stay afloat. Protects against ice, underwater stumps/sticks in beaver ponds/swamps. Helps to keep briars and sheep burrs outa their coat. Great invention for dogs! Mine wears his everytime we duck hunt.

Best investment for my dog I ever bought. it protect them from the cold, yes they can get caught on limbs and weeds, but for me rarely.

Makes them stick out like a sore thumb if you get an orange one. Good for pheasant hunting that way so there arent any mistakes.[&:]They may make camo/orange reversible ones...
