Newbie, looking for hogs
 

Never been hog hunting before, or hunting anything away from home for that matter. I am looking for someplace to hunt hogs that won't break the bank. I know Texas is most people's go to state, but I'm in Illinois and that is a little far for me. I have very limited time away from work, but I am interested in making memories for me and my young boy. Not sure if there are good opportunities in Arkansas or even Southern Missouri.

Anyplace that has good hog hunting is going to be in the south, that is just a simple fact. Get one or two other friends to go with you and share the driving. You are much better off going where the hogs are than going where you hope they will be just because it is closer. The trip can be as much fun as the destination. Lots of choices and you can google all the places that have good hog hunting to find a place. FL, SC TX,GA etc.

Plus you get to eat better tasting food! ;)
