Where to hog hunt in Texas?

Hey, I'm new to this forum and am looking for advice on where to hog hunt? I have never been hog hunting, but have been wanting to go for years and finally have the time! I figured Texas would be a good place to start given its population of hogs. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good places to hunt down there that isn't too terribly expensive and doesn't have all the hidden fees like I have been finding. Word of mouth is always better. I'd be coming from Northern Missouri so a 2-3 day hunt would be awesome!

Thanks!

You can shoot hogs just about anywhere in TX. But you won't do it for free. Cost depends on where and for how long. What is your budget? I know of a guy that want's to thin his doe herd and also his hogs so he is offering a freezer filler hunt. 3 days semi-guided with 2 whitetail does and unlimited hogs. I have no personal stake in this nor do I personally know the guy but there is a TX hunting forum I spend time on and he posted it yesterday. If you take 4 or 5 hogs and a couple of does that might be worth your time and money.

I really don't need the whitetail does. I have phenomenal whitetail hunting up here and typically have to give away deer meat. I just want strict hog hunting or maybe a hog hunt that includes varmints. Like I said, a 2-3 day hunt would be great. My budget is somewhere around 500-700. I still have to get down there and back and pay for processing or cold storage fees so I want to find a reasonably priced hunt itself.

If you wait much longer, they will be coming to you.
