5 Sows - 3 Singles and a Twofer
Spent a lot of time checking my properties before coming across these rascals. Wind wasn't an issue and it was pretty dark, but I had cattle in the field with me that followed me to my shooting location and I was dealing with security lights from the neighbor's properties that I was afraid would light me up too much and the hogs would take notice. Fortunately, they did not notice and the cattle stayed somewhat out of the way...

in some areas of florida theres FAR too many hogs and the area looks like a drunk idiot with a large tractor spends most nights running a disc harrow randomly over all the property.
they are considered VERMIN and property owners generally can shoot them 24/7/365 yet we do not make a serious dent in the population, so CONGRATS on killing a couple nice hogs!
hogs remind me of mosquitoes...
I remember once stepping out of my truck at dawn and slapping my arm and killing half a dozen mosquitoes as I looked for the can of spray, DEET,
my partner at the time said,
WOW, you killed least least 5-7 with one slap.....
I replied great... that only leave's you about 30 BILLION more to kill before we go hunting
I wish the local hogs tasted a whole lot better, it takes a good deal of proper prep to get them to result in good BAR-B-QUE
I wish far more people got into hunting hogs! there are becoming a REAL P.I.T.A, around mid florida.
