Default Tennessee hogs around Crab Orchard

On the way back home to Southern Illinois today from Knoxville. I saw a dead hog around Crab Orchard on I-40. Can anyone tell me is there a decent concentration on hogs in this area?

Sorry, didn't see this till today, Right there in the Crab Orchard area is Catoosa Wildlife Management area. Many years ago they had the bright idea to stock a Russian Boar line of hogs. I think it was 40-45 years ago as I was a little fella and Catoosa was where I shot my very first hog. There were already a pretty good amount of Feral hogs around there anyway and they cross bred to end up with a pretty mean line of hogs. The size of the escaped ferals, mostly Berkshire and Spotted, bred with the tenacity of the Russian line made for some pretty sturdy hog stock.

If I had to guess, I'd think the cold winters would keep them further south. But then again, swine would cross the atlantic for a bushel of apples.
