Ram n Hog hunt best caliber rifle to buy

Im planning on doing a Ram n Hog hunt in Texas. And would like suggestions on what would be the best caliber rifle to take? I want to use one rifle for both..

30-06, .308, the best rifle is none existent, your question will get you personal opinion and preference. What you really want ask what is a good caliber that will do a good job on both animals and is versatile enough to be used for many animals.

Anything that is adequate for deer will work on rams and hogs.

My vote goes for a .308, thats a solid relatively economical round.

Most any deer cartridge should do!

Me - I'd pick the rifle I'm most comfortable with:

My 30-06 carbine out to 200 yds
If longer shots, My 270 Winchester
