Eating or drinking hydrocarbon fuel is not good for any form of wildlife or humans. I know I wouldn't eat any hog feeding on corn soaked in diesel fuel, I also know I wouldn't use it.

It was and I've heard of people soaking corn in it and putting it out as feed as the smell seems to draw them in. Oldtimr answered the question properly, so I felt I had nothing to add until I saw your post!

I have also heard that the soaked corn will kill turkeys that
feed on it.

It isn't that the corn "soaked" in diesel will draw in hogs. If diesel was some sort of miracle attractant, we would all be using it and all killing hogs. It just doesn't work that way. None of these miracle attractants do.

What diesel does do is dissuade many other animals from eating the corn. You don't soak the corn in diesel. Purported correct amounts vary, but as little as a couple of teaspoons per 50 lb bag may be enough to do the job as as much as 1 cup per 300 lbs is what I have seen suggested as a max amount.

As noted, it isn't good for any animal that eats it. Hydrocarbons are a form of poison, plain and simple. There are no suggested good dietary amounts for humans or farm animals and certainly NOT for wildlife.

It is really not a good idea.
