Went last evening with my brother. The feeder goes off at 630pm. We arrived a little after the feeder went off, approximately 635pm. As we were going to the stand we could see hogs already eating. We both got in the stand and set up. At 641pm we shot. We both have Bison Armory uppers in 6.8. Mine dropped. His ran 30 yards. He was using SSA 110 PH. I was using the same thing, but I reload and were not factory like his. I hit mine right above the shoulder and the angle made it destroy lungs and heart. My brother heart shot his. We doubled up and nice and easy pretty thrilling hunt even though there meat hogs, still gets the adrenaline going. We have taken 7 hogs off this spot since March.

Good job and it sounds like you have quite a few hogs to have taken that many just shooting them in that short amount of time. Keep at it because the way they reproduce just shooting them is hard, if not impossible, to keep them in check.

Yeah there are plenty of hogs around there. We haven't seen the few big boars in a week now. But theres plenty that size and a little bigger still coming. We make maple sausage here at home, it's pretty good!

I've heard tell about the flavor of Hogs down there in Florida that have been feeding on dropped oranges at the orange groves. Heard it was the best dang hog meat you can eat! Might just have to get down there soon and see if I can't smack a couple!

I have not bought commercial pork in three years since going to SC to hunt hogs. Wild pork tastes like pork used to taste before they decided to make it healthier for us.
