Trapped A Boar Last Night
 

We have permission to trap hogs on this section of land. It is close to a creek and several sections of land that are mostly over-grown. It's a hog paradise.

This young boar hog weighed 130-150 pounds. This is a portable trap we use. It weighs about 125 pounds; the others are heavier and stronger. A big boar could tear this trap up. It has caught seven wild hogs in the past 6 days.

Should have set the trap up before taking the picture. Theres a stake that goes under one side of the trapdoor. Attached to the stake is a stought string that goes through a pulley on the side of the trap. The other end of the string is attached to the opposite side of the trap: It's a tripwire. Corn is put in the end of the trap and the access door is closed. Hog comes in, hits the tripwire, pulling the stake out from under the trapdoor and claaaang.

I see. Never got to trap anything big as a hog. I'm sure that's a good time.
