There are a lot of ways to hunt hogs. When we hunt with dogs here in Alabama, we try to follow on ATV's. This can be almost as exciting as catching the hog. Most of the dog hunters here don't even kill the hog. They catch them and "hog tie" them. That seems to be the thrill to them. After they catch them, they can either dispatch them or take them back, feed them out a little, and then butcher them. Blind hunting is usually done over bait. We kill a bunch of hogs while deer hunting. They like the same food plots that deer do. There is also the old favorite (my favorite) of riding around in a golf cart (possibly a cooler in the back) from food plot to food plot until one or more are spotted, then shoot. A slight variation on this is to spot and stalk with a bow. Hogs are very easy to stalk as long as the wind is right. They have very poor vision but exceptional smell. Another way that is gaining in popularity is night vision hunting. Very exciting because you can see them, but they can't see you. Hope this helps give you an overview of hog hunting. If mobility is a problem, I would suggest not going on a dog hunt. All the other ways I have mentioned can be done with quiet atv's or golf carts.
