when i was in hawaii, they used chihuahua's...one would dodge the hog and bite their "junk". the hog would sit down, and the other one starts yappin, callin us on the phone lol..we walked about a mile in and shot it with a 22lr.
pitts seem to be the favorite.

most catch dogs are a bull dog, or a bull dog cross, seen some use labs, mastiffs and danes also for catch. i run blackmouth curr and mountain curr as bay dogs, also have some heinz 57 that are good bay dogs. there are many breeds that make good bay dogs, the locale has alot to do with what dogs are used. are you lookin to start runnin hogs?

When I was hunting in Texas I ran one sometimes two. My brother and I each got a Catahoula out of the same litter.
