Homemade Hog attractant
I am heading to deer lease this weekend in Hico, tx. Does anyone with experience in hog hunting know of a great brew of slop to attract hogs into my area where I have seen their sign?

Fill a bucket about two thirds full of corn. Add water until it covers the corn by three inches. Sit the bucket in the sun or in a warm place for a week or two. Nothing attracts hogs better than sour corn.
To keep the hogs hanging around longer; make a hole about 30" deep with a post hole digger. Fill the hole with shelled corn. The hogs will dig and root in that hole until the corn is gone. |
Thanks. I have also heard about boxes of jello attracting hogs.
