Here are some hogs we kiled in Texas this year.

Nice. We're heading to Texas next week to shoot some piggies. I see some snow on the ground. Did the weather down there hurt you guys at all?

Yes we think it did. 6 inches of snow. We killed 4 boars and 1 sow. All were singles. No groups were seen at all. I think the sows were littered up and keeping out of site. We also set 2 cage traps with bait and caught nothing in 5 days. Not our typical hunt. This is not a high fenced area but 1600 acres of open ground. It's a super time.

What part of Texas?

Not sure if you were asking me...but we'll be about an hour south of Dallas along the Trinity River, down by Palestine. This will be the 9th year we've gone. Helluva good time.

Thanks, there are plenty of hogs down there. Texas is full of hogs, and the numbers are growing. I have a friend that traps about 20 a day not from from Palestine.

We were in Haskell county Texas. A friend of mine leases 1600 acres there. It's a real neat and inexpensive trip. We go every year the week end after the super bowl.
