I run and sell hog hunts here in SC. That said I would have to ditto what everyone else has stated that Texas and Florida are ate up with pork. You definitely dont have to travel that far to kill a boar but do your research well if you plan on shortening up your travel. While we have a lot of hogs in SC they arent everywhere like they are in Florida. There are plenty of outfitters here that will sell you a hog hunt that basically speaking have few if any hogs. Do your homework!

I have hunted the Ochechobee area a couple times myself and filled my allowed take with my bow in short order each time.

Good luck to you, I really enjoy hog hunting myself. Never thought it would get under my skin that much but they did.

Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, any of the southern states. Take your pick. Texas is mostly private--trespass fees to hunt. Tons of pigs though.
