Letting some northerners hunt your land?
 

Is there anybody that has hog problems in the south that'd be willing to let me and my dad (we're from Minnesota) come down and shoot a couple hogs? I think it seems awfully ridiculous to go on a "hog hunt" and pay hundreds of dollars per animal, even though these animals are a complete and total pest to most landowners in the south. Just thought I'd ask here first!

Oh yeah, we'll be very generous in tipping, and we'll stay out of your way. Just let us shoot some hogs!

I take guys on my lease all the time. You want to kill pigs come on down. There is a charge though. You have to buy breakfast. Kill all of them that you want. Let me know.

Oh we're willing to travel to just about anywhere. :) As long as the hog shooting isn't expensive... we're definitely not rich, but we'll buy ya breakfast!

Hey Snook, where in Florida are you? I'm in Lakeland and am dying to go hog hunting, but can't find a place to go that's cheap. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Better be careful hunting with Snook! Have you read his stories?:D You will end up in his stories...they sound eventful and succesful.Wish I was closer he sounds like he would be great to hunt with!Watch out for his monster hogs!:D

trixr4kidz623: I am in St. Pete. I would suggest Myakka Small Game preserve. It is LOADED with pork but you have to do some legwork. I have some spots in there that after you park you have to RUN almost 6 miles and get there before dawn. They come rolling down the hill and you just get between them and the swamp and you are set. Also no deer hunters in there. A LOT less pressure. Other than that there is good old Green Swamp. Yes yes yes it is a living buggy, nasty, filthy, hot, sweltering pushole of a place but what the heck it is free and there are pigs. I have some very picturesque places to hunt in there if you dont mind wading up to your chest in alligator infested waters for the chance to shoot a hog and drag his butt 2 miles out of a swamp. WHAT FUN!!! Or you can come up with me if you help with some gas and drive a bit.

Hey Snook! I'm a FL boy also. My dad lives in Ft McCoy and I visit him frequently. Let me know if you want to get together and blast some swine. I'll definitely buy breakfast.:)

[8D]I'm in CummingGeorgiaright now VISITINGwith my brotherand our family for Christmas...I've been surfing the whole day for some hog huntin inGeorgia and I came across this post. My fatherinlaw is in NewSmryna Beach, FL and he has also been lookingfor a place for us to hunt.

I look at this way...I HAVE and can go shoot a preserverussian or a ferral hog for 250 - 400 fenced in.

However - I'm in for an actual hunt..unfamiliar territory...meet new people and friends...and experience some new land..

I'll bring money for beers and breakfast...and a pocketfull of 20's for tippin.[8D]
