Where did all the hogs go.....
 

It seems every year about this time all the hogs just leave and dont return for about3 to4 months...we have over a 1000 acres that we hunt on and this happens every year...whats the deal?

sonny, are you complaining?????? :D I wish that was the way it was with our place but we have to get out early and start whacking them things to get them to go nocturnal before deer season.....Anyway, they are always around on our place but I wish they would leave our place this time of year every year and not return for three months....;)

Most hogs seem to have a much larger range than deer do. They also will go a long way to follow a consistent food source. Maybe someone is putting out regular bait somewhere in your area and they camp out over it?

Where I'm from, we call them Texas fire ants. If you have them go away, count your blessings.
