This boar came in about 30 minutes after dark. I have solar lights under my feeder for hunting these guys at night..22Hornet, 45 gr HP's, 80 yd shot, hit him right at the base of head a neck, we call it a c-spine shot. Put him down hard !
DO NOT under estimate the Hornet, I have used this round for 17 big game kills, ranging from 11yds to a tad over a 100yds, nothing has taken a step after being stung by the Hornet.

Good deal, I hunt up on the other side of Kerrville from you and we have been getting some pictures of a few big hogs, the ranch we lease is over run with them!!!! Again congrats on him!!!

PS.....

One early morning last December I saw some hogs on the north side of 1604 & Green Mountain on the Cement plant property. It was a sow and some little ones. I would love to get in to that property and walk around.

Jake, basically behind Braunig lake, the san antonio river runs through the back of this property I m behind the damn, close to 1604 between 181 and 37 south
