Hog hot spots in Texas
 

I'm considering takinga trip down to texas this winter to go hog hunting. Any suggestions as where to go? Public or private land it doesnt really matter.

I have hunted South Texas and had great success with hogs, I have hunted East Texas and have had great success and I currently am hunting in West Texas and we are covered up with those scavengers!!!!! I am sure they are just about all over the entire state but I am sure some places are better than others. I wouldn't know of any good day hunting places, as we have a serioushog problem on the land that we lease....I wish I could bring you there and let you shoot all you wanted but the land owner has already told us no on that idea!!!! We wanted to let a select few people come hunt hogs for a real fair price and then put that money into our annual supplement program, they shut that idea down real fast!!!![:@]

I always see a ton of hogs along the highway driving through Baylor county. Especially close to the river. Don't know of any particular places to call, though.

For hogs depending on where you go you might try:

Langley Ranch in NE Texas
Dos Plumas Ranch in North Texas
Double C Ranch in South Texas

These places will have some hogs for you.

Depends on when you're coming down, I'm working on a ranch that has tons of hogs and they let me hunt for free all year long. I need to get established there before I bring guest.

I think the map needs updating! There getting alot of them in Ector and Midland counties.Talked to a farmer that killed one just outside Midland and I see them just south of the airport on I-20.
