FL Hog Population

So, I have been hearing on the news and from a few fellow hunters here in FL that they are seeing unreal amounts of hogs (from ocachobee to lakeland).

Anyone else confirm this. I have been out three times in the last 5 weeks and I'm not seeing much @ all. Spots that produced great around this time have hardly been rut'd up , not much in the way of scat, hell hardly any trails.

From what I am seeing hog pop is down (or maybe me and my friends killed to many in the last year).

Anyways, just curious what other FL hog hunters are seeing resently.

I have a group up north I call the thundering herd. I swear that grouip averages over 50 pigs every time I have seen it. Other than that my feeders are spinning 4 times a day so I gots me some hogs out da wazoo.

I want to do some pistol muzzle loading or bow hunting for pigs in FL. What's the season in FL? Licence cost for out-of-staters?

Sounds like I need to pay Florida a visit...hogs here in Ca. are hard to find right now due to really dry weather, and terrain...

Some of the guys I work with in Cross city say that they have been seeing less and less this year due to the clubs letting the members hunte all year long. I wish that they would do that in the club I hunt in.

RE: FL Hog Population

Id like to do some hog hunting out here in brevard or to the west but dont understand the regs. On one FWC page it says hogs are year round seasons. But when I look under each WMA they all start around november. Which is right? I heard the year round is for private land and public land has restricted seasons. Any one know of a private land owner out here that would let me snag a hog?
