.223 for Hogs?

How do yall think a .223 would be for hogs. I was thinkin about the Remington Model 7615 Ranch Carbine because when I hunt Im usually gettin in and out of a truck a lot. I already have a Savage Model 10 .243, just want somethin smaller and cheaper ammo

either or. I would use a strong bullet though. Like a 69gr softpoint or if your really angry you could use some Hornaday TAP [:@]

My daughter shot her first one this weekend. With my .223

It is my first choice when we go erradicate them from the watermelon fields.

I really like the 53grain Barnes TSX in it for hogs.

well maybe you should take a look at this. it came straight from the Dinner Island Ranch WMA pamphlet
8. For taking migratory game, only shotguns, bow and arrow (not
crossbows), and falconry may be used. Shotguns shall not be larger than
10 gauge and shall be incapable of holding more than three shells in the
magazine and chamber combined.
10. Fully automatic or silencer-equipped firearms, centerfire semi-automatic
rifles having a magazine capable of holding more than five rounds,
explosive or drug-injecting devices and setguns are prohibited.

The Remington Model 7615 Ranch Carbine is a pump action not a semi-auto and the thing about only having three shells in a shotgun applies to migratory and non-migratory game birds
