Mark Twain National Forest

Has anyone had any experience in the Missouri Mark Twain National Forest. I good friend of mine wants to go and try for some wild hogs. Does anyone know what species is in the forest and if would even be worth the trip. I have never hunted hogs of any kind and would love to give it a try. Any advise would be appreciated

I don't know what species but there seems to be a lot of hogs around Lake wapapello. I know guys who have killed some there. Also out west of doniphan in the Irish wilderness there are supposed to be good numbers of hogs. And around piedmont and the mill springs area close to Clearwater lake. Hope this helps
