Congrats on the nice hog. In Germany a hunter is required to have access to a tracking dog: Is that the case in Sweden?

Not many folks in the US have access to good tracking dogs. Afriend of mine here has an excellent beagle tracking dog. Another man I know has a wire haired dachshund that isrumored to besuperb.

Yes, we have the same law in sweden. I think we use dogs more in general hunting than You do in The U.S. We hunt for example: deer, moose, bear, fox, badger, lynx, hogs and rabbit with dogs and it's legal. My favorit breedis the German jagd terrier wich can be used on almost every game from bear to rabbit and its a good tracking dog. I believe the jagd terrier has a good hunting reputation even in the states? Sorry about my bad english[&o]

I think I like that rule. I believe less game would be lost that way.
