RE: 1st Pig for my boy!!!
Tell your son congrats. I also killed my first pig this year with a 444 marlin. He toted it for about 300 yds. Shot right behind front shoulder. Those hornady lever revolutions are the bullet to go with.Massive exit wound, with excellent blood trail. What caliber rifle did he shoot with?

Thanks fellas! I'll pass-on y'alls congrats to him.
He was using an H&R .243 with a heavy barrel and 100gr sierra handloads.(you can see it in the first pic)I bought it "used" with the scope. I cut the stock so it would fit him better. I'll be replacing the scope forone of much better quality. It does okay for regular daylight shooting, but in low light, it's terrible.

Yeah, that's exactly what my father-in-law said when we got back to camp.
