Guide in Fla question
I and another hunter are planning a hog hunt in Florida this spring or summer, we were looking at a couple of sites. Does anyone know of outwestfarms or Ron's Guide service. Are they worth the money or would someone reccommend another guide?

RE: Guide in Fla question
I hunted with rons guide service at the begining of december, They did exactly what they said they would do. I wish the pigs would have been a little bigger and the hunt was kinda short, but we did have a good time. Its not realy a free chase though. For my first hunt I thought it was a good deal.

Also I do not know what area you are in or what type of hunt you are looking for(free chase?)but you can also try manatee outfitters

RE: Guide in Fla question
I went with Chappy's Guide Service a couple of years ago and I had a wonderful time. Really nice folks, good hogs and very affordable. I highly recommend them. Just read my testimonial I sent them after my trip. They have it posted on their site(It's the first letteron the "testimonials" page from Matt Craddock). PM me if you have any questions about my trip with them. FYI, the hunt I took with them was in the Lake Okechobee area. Here is a link:

RE: Guide in Fla question
I am looking for a hog hunt too and I research each outfitter as much as I can to help make the decision. I found something on outwest farms you might find interesting. Now I know that everyone is considered innocent until proven otherwise, but you cannot ignore accusations either...
http://www.fwoa.org/news/fwoanws31c.html I am looking for a hunt for me and my 10yr old son for his birthday. If anyone has any suggestions for the Southeast area (TN,GA,AL, or FL), please let me know. I know not every outfitter really caters to kids, so thathas made my search a little harder. Thanks and good luck. |

RE: Guide in Fla question
being from around here I would chose chappys over ron's anyday. Have never heard bad things of chappys but ron's maybe a different story.
