Florida Question
I'm finally going to get a crack at some hogs down in Florida. I'm visiting a friend who has a friend with feeders on his farmland. My question is, what kind of permits/licenses, if any, will Ineed to hunt on private land?

RE: Florida Question
go to the orange bar at the top of the page, click on resources, scroll down to DNR listings, scroll down to Florida Dept of fish and Game, and you will be able to look it up.

RE: Florida Question
Feral pigs are property of the land owner, so no license, fees or season.
However, read the Florida regs. WMA are another matter. Tresspass laws
are strict in FL. Cattle country and citrus groves demand that they are.

RE: Florida Question
hey snook384, i will strongly disagree. ive eaten many big hogs and havent had any that were "bad". i think its all in how you take care of the meat. we cant hang the meat to let it age down here, so i leave it in a cooler with ice for a few days. every day drain the bloody water out and replace with fresh ice. works for me. also if the landowner wants the hogs gone, he probably dosent want a buch of carcasses lying around.
