Need Help Selling Wild Hogs
This summer I am trapping and selling wild hogs and I was wanting to know how much money you can make selling them. Also, any tips on getting a hog out of a trap and into a trailer alive?

It is perfectly legal in Tx. Check with your local livestock auction. In my part of east Tx. the price is so low its just not worth the effort. Now if you trap them, cut the boars, and fatten them up for a few months you may do OK.

All depends on the going rate. Here in Texas, ive seen it as high as 80 cents a pound for 250 + lbers. Around Christmas time, you couldnt give away a hog. It was about 18 cents a pound, so most of the buying stations would not take any. I think it is about 45 cents a pound right now. Not sure, I have not taken a hog to the buyers in over a year.
