Default Therma-cell and hogs

I got winded by a really good boar last night. I was sitting in a stand about 20 yds from a feeder hoping for a bow shot. The wind which had been in my face most of the evening went calm. About 50 yds to my right a good boar,(250-275),came out of the brush. It was at an awkward angle to try to get a shot and I wanted him closer anyway. Well, he took a few steps into the clear and stopped with his snout in the air. A few wiffs and he turned around and walked off. I don't think it was me he smelled. My camo was fresh from the laundry, and not put on until I got to the lease. I had sprayed everything with Dead Down Wind. The only thing I could think was a problem was my Therma-cell. I have used it on many occasions in the past and have killed deer and hogs with it on and sitting beside me. I wonder if a more mature hog is more cautious? He didn't get that big by making mistakes. Another possibility is coyotes. About 15 minutes before he came out I was watching a couple of rabbits feeding in the clearing and all at once they just bolted. I never saw what spooked them. I know it wasn't me. The wind was in my face at the time and I was motionless.
So let me know guys. Have you been busted by a hog with a Therm-cell on?

EDIT: The boar walked off, cautious, but not like I've seen them run off before when I know I've been winded.

my guess is he just felt something wasn't right. i've never known a ThermaCell to effect any animal. i'm an avid ThermaCell user and i have taken MANY deer and hogs while using them in the stand. i've even had game directly under my stand for long periods of time without them knowing i was there. i beleive sometimes animals get that "extra" sense. kinda like we do when we know something is going to happen but don't know when or what.
