Please help!
I would like to get more info on hogs that have wooly undercoats. Maybe the exact breed or a very close relative to it. Please help. Any thing you know would be very useful to me.

RE: Please help!
Don't hold me to this, but, I believe a wooly undercoat can be traced back to the european bloodlines. I think the true Russian boar has the long bristled hair with the wooly undercoat.

RE: Please help!
That's European (Russian) blood. There are at least four different bloodlines in the U.S. That is one of the first traits to breed out when they cross with domestic hogs. A pureEuropean will have as much wool as a sheep during the winter. They're raised by a few for those who want to hunt the real historical boars. They make an impressive trophy.
