Shot these 2 with one shot on christmas eve 2004.225# and the big one bottomed out my 300# scales.It was close to dark and I was trying to shoot the big sow between the eyes.I was at ground level and didn't see the smaller one standing broadside.I hit it across the back spining it,and still hit the big sow between the eyes.I don't expect anyone to beleive it but it's true.I was shooting my .30-06 with 150 gr power points.The boar on the bottom is around 200#

Do the big 3-400 pounders taste funkey?

I have yet to find out the reasoning on why some taste funkey, some do and some dont. Doesnt matter on the size. We killed a few this year from one area ,and they all had a little wierd taste to them, even the 5 and 10lb piglets,they tasted the same as the 150-200lb'rs just more tender. For these I B-b-q them, it helps with te taste. On the stove you notice it more.
